1. "The End of the Real Estate Era?" Eric Trump Points To Bitcoin As The Future Of Digital Assets
Bitcoin is attracting attention as a next-generation value storage means to replace real estate, which is a traditional asset.
June 8 (Reuters) - A YouTube channel specializing in cryptocurrencies with 1.61 million subscribers **Altcoin Daily** released a video claiming that "Bitcoin could be a better asset than real estate."
**Eric Trump**, who appeared in the video, strongly supported Bitcoin's future value, saying, "My family accumulated wealth from real estate, but now Bitcoin is the center of new digital assets." He emphasized its competitiveness by comparing Bitcoin's scarcity, liquidity, and global access to real estate.
2. Scarcity and Liquidity…Bitcoin Over Real Estate?
Eric Trump said, "Bitcoin is an asset with a clearer scarcity than gold because the supply is fixed at 21 million." On the other hand, he pointed out that real estate is not a rare asset in the true sense as the supply can increase through new construction and development.
He also mentioned Bitcoin's overwhelming dominance in terms of liquidity. "It may take years to sell this convention center now, but Bitcoin can be sold in seconds with a smartphone," he explained, emphasizing the simplicity and speed of cryptocurrency compared to the complex transaction procedures of real estate (broking, law, tax).
As an example, Altcoin Daily said, "In 2012, you could buy a house with 30,000 Bitcoin, but now you can buy only five," and analyzed that Bitcoin's purchasing power has risen much faster than real estate.
3. Bitcoin Evolving Into Digital Real Estate
Eric Trump stressed that Bitcoin is superior to real estate in terms of global scalability and asset protection, given that it is a decentralized asset that can be traded without borders and political constraints. While real estate is constrained by certain countries' policies and laws, Bitcoin is free to hold and trade anywhere in the world.
Altcoin Daily said that the characteristics of Bitcoin fundamentally change the existing real estate-oriented asset accumulation model, adding, "Bitcoin is now emerging as a 'digital real estate' beyond a simple investment tool."
Experts believe Bitcoin, which combines scarcity, immediacy, global transaction and decentralization, is likely to become a major investment destination in the asset market in the future.
